Jason Lowe is an Associate at RJI and is responsible for project development, construction documentation, and production.

Jason Lowe was born and raised in Jamaica. As a child, he loved to go on adventures exploring the Caribbean island’s mountainous geography and diverse subtropical fauna and flora. His father was a prominent architect in Jamaica who specialized in resort and residential design. He was also influenced by his grandfather, an avid artist who painted landscapes and enjoyed gardening. In the late 1970s, Jason relocated to Miami, Florida where he pursued an education in architecture to follow in his father’s footsteps. After graduating from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, he worked in the field for a year before realizing he was more passionate about the organic, natural elements that surrounded the buildings rather than the buildings themselves. He was captivated by the vast planting palette which provided infinite creative possibilities through its diverse forms, colors, and textures. It was this fluid ability to be surrounded by nature in an “outside the box” manner that made landscape architecture so alluring.

After making the switch to the “greener” side of architecture, Jason brings over 21 years of experience working with landscape architects that specialize in institutional, golf course community planning, high-end residential, commercial, and retail design. He previously worked for a reputable Miami-based design-build firm where he acquired critical knowledge of project development from initial design phases through installation and completion.

Since joining RJI in 2019, Jason has worked on numerous projects, such as Raleigh Sculpture Garden in Miami Beach, Florida and multiple residential projects in the Bahamas, Miami Beach, and Coconut Grove, Florida.
